Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe - World Tourism will discuss about the Lake Tahoe. Lake Tahoe is the largest freshwater lake in the Sierra Nevada in the United States. Most of the ski resorts in the Lake Tahoe area in the north end of the lake, near Truckee, California and Reno, Nevada. Kirkwood, Sierra-at-Tahoe and Heavenly are located on the south side of the lake, about 80 miles (129 km) from Reno. Scattered throughout Tahoe are public and private sled parks. Some, such as Granlibakken are equipped with rope tows to help sledders get up the hill.
Many ski areas around Tahoe also have snow tubing, such as Squaw Valley. Throughout Tahoe, cross country skiing, snowmobile riding and snowshoeing are also popular.
Lake Tahoe has a main tourist attraction in both Nevada and California. Which is home to several ski resorts, summer outdoor recreation, and tourist attractions. Snow and skiing are a vital part of the region's economy and reputation. The mountain and lake scenery are attractions throughout the year. Nevada side also includes large casinos. Highways provide year-round access from Reno, Carson City and Sacramento.
Lake Tahoe was formed about 2 million years ago and is part of the Lake Tahoe Basin with the modern lake formed during the ice age. It is known for the clarity of the water and the panorama of surrounding mountains on all sides. The area around the lake is also referred to as Lake Tahoe, or simply Tahoe.

Antelope Canyon

Antelope Canyon - World Tourism will discuss about the Antelope Canyon. Antelope Canyon was first opened in 1997, and the Navajo tribe for a Navajo Tribal Park. Which is one source of tourism business for the Navajo Nation. Probably for fans of photography you are obliged to visit this place. It has superb views to your photo collection. Some people call Antelope Canyon as bighánílíní Tse, which is where the water flows through the rock.

Dead Horse Point State Park

Dead Horse Point State Park is a famous park in the state of Utah, USA, featuring a dramatic overlook the Colorado River and Canyonlands National Park. The park is so named because it supposedly said this place used as a natural home by cowboys in the 19th century. While the name "dead horse" is that the home was abandoned, but the horses do not leave home, even after the gate was left open, and died there.


This park covers 5362 acres (21.70 km2) of the high desert at an altitude of 5900 feet (1,800 m). And surrounded by sheer cliffs 2,000 feet (610 m) tall with a narrow neck of land only 30 yards (27 m) wide mesa connect to the main plateau.



The park is now one of the most visited tourist attractions of local and foreign tourists, because it has some beautiful scenery and exciting, a 21-site campground and group campsites, a picnic area, and 9 miles (14 km) loop hiking trail with two cutovers to allow for shorter trips. In addition the area is also used in the final scene from the film Thelma & Louise in 1991.

Devils Tower

Devils Tower is a very famous rock located in northeastern Wyoming, USA. Height of more than 1266 ft and formed about 65 million years ago by volcanic activity.
The tower was first seen by white explorers from the United States, the Geological Survey in 1875. And was first climbed, using a long wooden ladder attached to the surface of the stone, on July 4, 1893.



Various legends have sprung up that tells about the origin of this tower. One is the story of the Kiowa, Arapaho, Crow, Cheyenne and Sioux tribes, terrified group of young girls being chased by a giant bear. The girls escape quickly through the trees, but bears can slowly overtake them. As the situation became desperate to make them, the girls jumped on a low rock and prayed aloud to the Ancestral Spirit to save them. Suddenly small stones began to grow up, raised seven daughters higher and higher into the sky. An angry bear jumped to the side of the tower (the rock) and it left a claw, which can be viewed to date on the stone wall.


Now, the tower has become one of the world's attractions are very popular, especially for hikers, as a popular climbing sites and more than 20,000 ascents have been made. And many visitors have reported seeing strange lights and UFO phenomena are flying around the top of the tower.

The surveyor said the stone was Devils Tower, after they found out that his real name is "The Bad God's Tower," as the local Indians called it.
The tower is still highly revered as the site of the Indian vision quest.

Saint Louis Cemetery

Saint Louis Cemetery is a Roman Catholic cemetery in New Orleans, Louisiana. This cemetery is quite famous in the world, because he is the oldest cemetery complex in the world, with a dome-shaped dome and most built in the 18th and the 19th century.

Grand Canyon

Grand Canyon is a steep canyon area is very famous in the world, the sides carved by the Colorado River in the United States in the state of Arizona.
