Mount Olympus

Mount Olympus is the highest mountain in Greece with an altitude of 2919 meters. The mountain is located about 100 km from Thessaloniki, the second largest city in Greece. The highest peak of this mountain is Mitikas, at an altitude of 2919 meters. In Greek, meaning nose Mitikas. Mitikas is also the highest peak in Greece, followed Skolio with a height of 2912 meters. Any climb to Mount Olympus, starting from the city Litochoro, commonly called the City of Gods because of its location at the foot of Mount Olympus.

Mount Olympus known for its wealth of plants, and also famous for the legendary home of the gods and the throne of the mythical Greek god Zeus. So that became one of the Olympus mountain mountains are sanctified in the world.
