Venice is the capital of the Regione Veneto and the Province of Venice in Italy. This city has an area of 412 km ² and a population of 271,663 souls (2003). Venice is known as "La Dominante", "Serenissima", "Queen of the Adriatic", "City of Water", "City of Bridges", and "The City of Light" or also called the City of Water, this might be an appropriate designation to Venice. The town is located in the northeastern part of Italy is directly reminiscent of a name, Marco Polo.
